Wasted Weekend

206.4 this morning :(

The weekend was a bit of a loss.  I started my period yesterday (TMI, I'm sure, but it's relevant), which I think is why I was such a heifer all weekend.  Does anybody else just get ravenous when they're PMSing?  The 2 things that make me realize I'm about to start: 1) I cry at the drop of a hat, 2) I crave junk food.

Anyway, I'm hoping that part of the gain is due to the fact that I'm all bloaty and what-have-you from my cycle, but my intake this weekend didn't help.  After the breakfast I described, here's how the weekend went:

Saturday - went and had 75-cent tacos at Stagecoach with my parents and had some beers.  It had been too long since we'd done that; I almost forgot how much I missed that Saturday tradition.  BUT I broke my seconds rule.  I hadn't broken it in a while - it's like as soon as I decided to blog and hopefully hold myself more accountable I fell apart!  I had 3 tacos to begin with, which would have been perfect....then a couple of hours later I ordered 2 more.  I ended up being somewhat glad, as my sister was supposed to bring us dinner around 8 but it ended up being almost midnight.  So, at midnight, I had 3 pieces of pizza and 2 boneless wings.  Not really a good pre-sleep meal.  I also had the equivalent of a pitcher of Pale Ale throughout the day, and probably about the same amount of water.

Yesterday - We woke up and went to brunch at a place called JayWaLe in KCK, the Strawberry Hill area.  It was fantastic!  We had actually planned on going somewhere entirely different but it was closed on Sundays, so we just drove around until we found a place.  It's a bistro/bakery place, owned by a Greek(?) lady, who serves brunch on Sundays.  I had the Eggs Benedict, which is basically my ultimate brunch meal.  Everything they served was health-conscious and I loved that.  Whole wheat muffin, turkey bacon, and the hollandaise was definitely not standard, though I am not 100% sure what was different about it.  It came with breakfast potatoes that had fresh peppers and onions in them, and I left perfectly full and feeling only slightly guilty.

Once I got home, after an afternoon of perusing the First Weekend goodies in the West Bottoms (one of my very favorite ways to spend a 1st Sunday), I had 2 leftover pieces of pizza and finished the order of wings, and then took a nap.  I didn't intend to take a nap, and then I definitely didn't intend for it to be nearly 4 hours long!  I can only assume I needed it.  The pizza & wings were really my Sunday downfall.  For dinner Andy made some braised chicken breast with potatoes and carrots, and we shared a bottle of Chardonnay sur Lies that his sister & brother-in-law got us for Christmas.  It was damn good, considering I'm not a white wine drinker in the least.

So,  it's generally been that Monday is the day I get a little binge-y but that came early this week, so I plan to behave today.  I had a ham, egg, & cheese breakfast burrito from the vending machine.  Not a banner meal, but about the best thing you can get out of the machine that's less than $3.

I need Zumba to start back up!  We didn't sign up in time for this session, and I'm being a lazy ass now.  It's so cold out!  I need to get a treadmill or pick P90X back up, just SOMETHING in the interim!!!
