202 this morning. I lost just shy of a half pound. I am trying not to be disappointed. My dinner last night was delicious and seemingly healthy but came out to 20 points! I wish that WW took into account somehow if it was good or bad fats, as a large part of that was avocado. I just read a long article this morning about how avocado is one of the superfoods that will extend your life, so I'm not really willing to give that up! As a matter of fact I brought some with me for lunch.
I just read SlimKatie's post on WW, and I have to say I agree with most of it. I am starting this way partly because it's easier, but also because I do feel like it's a little bit more comprehensive than just counting calories. We'll see what happens! Eventually I might make the switch, but for now I've kind of found this system to work. I'm counting mostly points during the week, and mostly calories during the weekend since that's when I tend to eat out/go out for drinks.
I heard the MOST frustrating conversation yesterday - I was in the break room at work and this woman was talking about how she's dieting, but from what she was saying it was in the sensible 'eat right, eat less' kind of way. Then she said that she had to make a separate meal for her kids every day because they hate vegetables, etc. How stupid are you?! Make them eat healthy, so they don't have to grow up to be fat & struggle with weight like you are! Granted, I don't have kids, but.........
Yesterday I was just in a generally bad mood, but I still made some good decisions. I did have a glass of wine with dinner, thinking my dinner was lower in points than it actually was, but when I tracked it after I ate I did the right thing. Andy was taking me to see Beauty & the Beast 3D, and instead of sneaking in a flask & chocolate, and/or ordering popcorn, I snuck in water and carrots. :)
And, by the way, Beauty & the Beast 3D cured my bad mood times a million!
